About Our Committee
Your voluntary committee works hard to make sure that your WI runs smoothly.
But we still need our members help. If you have a skill you can share please let us know
I joined the committee in 2015 and I am now proud to be President. My role is to oversee the smooth running of the group. I wanted to join a new younger group and meet new people. Our group is certainly a fun bunch, with lots of great events and plenty laughs.
I own my own business providing marketing, events & business support to women with businesses. I also work with forever living products. I am not very creative and my baking is shameful. I am now proud to say that since joining our group, I can decorate a cake to a respectable standard.
If you are looking to find a fun WI group, then feel free to contact me, or come along and test the water at our next meeting. We welcome visitors with open arms and we always have fun. I look forward to welcoming you soon.
We are looking to recruit a Vice President for our lovely group. You have to be a member of the Chester Devas WI and a little bit barking to put up with us!
If you are interested in shaping and running this young, fun and vibrant WI group, please email us at email@example.com.
Carolynne joined our committee at our AGM in November 2017. She is the gatekeeper of the all information between Chester Devas WI, the Cheshire Federation and the National WI. For events being held by our parent groups, Carolynne keeps us all informed about the various talks / shows / offers and activities going on for members to enjoy.
We are still hoping to recruit this role after Karen Spencer left in November 2017 who with us from the start way back in February 2015!
If you fancy knowing more about this role, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Helen joined us in November 2016 and as Treasurer, Helen will be keeping us on the Financial straight and narrow!. She helps us to plan and manage our finances, and report our WI’s finances at the end of the financial year.
Oh, and she loves bees!!
Kim joined the committee in November 2017 after being our informal ‘Social Secretary’ throughout 2016. Kim will be making plans and booking our programme of events for this year and next, ensuring lots of fun filled activities are ahead for all our members (and wannabee members!) to enjoy.
